“There’s nothing I can’t do!”
Dedicated, loyal, resilient: Ni’Jah, 14, is a talented singer and accomplished chef who wants to use his creativity to help others in the future. As Ni’Jah writes, he hopes to “make a change in this world by singing and acting to give kids like me an outlet for their emotions.” Focused on his future, Ni’Jah dreams of performing on Broadway or guiding students as a theater teacher or honing his craft in the kitchen. No doubt Ni’Jah will find a way to balance all three.
His friends would describe him as an outgoing and uplifting leader. Ni’ Jah is proud of his adaptability and independence, but his proudest single moment was at his first high school drama production this year.
Ni’Jah’s both a sensitive soul and a pragmatist. He admits he’d love to travel “anywhere with hills and silent nights so I can gaze at the stars and reflect on life.” Yet his simple goal this year is to “find a home.” His ideal family will be “accepting, hard on me, honest, and willing to help me succeed.” His care workers agree: Ni’Jah has overcome his circumstances with resilience and a positive attitude. Ni’Jah is open to new things and enjoys companionship. Also athletic and outgoing, Ni”jah enjoys skateboarding, listening to music and talking to people. Of course his favorite subject in school is theater. Ni’Jah admits he admires a turtle, since they have one quality he envies: patience.
With typical sensitive sensibility, Ni’Jah wants his future family to know: “I’m open to anything and I’m not picky. I just want to feel normal again.”
